Business name: Pasadena Paws Mobile Grooming
One-line problem statement:
Maya's calendar showed open time her van couldn't actually make, so every new booking became a text thread. RuffRoute only offers times that fit her driving route, and refills cancellations by offering them to the right waiting customer, automatically.
Business profile:
Pasadena Paws is a fictional mobile grooming business in Pasadena, CA. Maya is a solo groomer with one 9-foot-tall van, working Tuesday to Saturday across 11 neighborhoods, from Altadena to Arcadia. Her quirks: whether a time works depends on the dog's size and coat, the customer's address, and the drive to and from her other stops; she needs a flat spot to park the van; heavily matted or reactive dogs need her approval; and a late cancellation leaves a gap she has no time to refill by text.
Project description:
RuffRoute turns "can I book with you?" into "you're booked" for mobile groomers, where an empty calendar slot isn't necessarily a usable appointment.
Before: customers text breed, weight and address, then wait for the groomer to work out whether her route allows it. Often two days of back-and-forth.
After: customers book in about 2 minutes (in our demo) and only see times that fit Maya's route, ranked by drive time and route fit, with plain-language reasons. When someone cancels, RuffRoute offers the slot to the best-fit customer on the waitlist; when they accept, their old slot is offered to the next match. Customers reschedule and cancel themselves, and reminders confirm attendance with one tap. A "Handled without Maya" panel tracks the work she no longer does.
Try it: open https://pasadenapaws.ruffroute.com to book as a customer. For Maya's side, go to /owner/login and tap "Sign in as Maya (demo)". The Demo controls page has a "Try it in 3 minutes" checklist, including a simulated cancellation.
All customers and data are fictional, and drive times are estimates. Built with Lovable, Supabase and Resend.
