Gamebud --- the game builder with a face. you type one sentence and bud, a pixel axolotl, builds you a playable game. you edit it by talking to him.

12 product screens designed in Flowstep: onboarding, live build log with hp-bar progress, an editor you drive by chatting with bud, play mode, publishing with covers and tags, a remix system where the original creator keeps credit, a creator dashboard, and bud's error state when you ask for an MMO with 500 dragons lol.

and it's not just screens — version 1 is deployed and the first game bud built is actually playable (arrow keys, chai cups, crows, hearts, rain).

why: Game engines still feel like cockpits. i always wanted a tool that gamifies making games itself — a builder with a personality you talk to and run your imagination wild.

how: designed entirely in flowstep, driven end-to-end by claude code through flowstep's MCP server. then the same agent wrote the playable web build and shipped it to vercel. one evening, start to finish. videos attached: the 2-minute walkthrough + the sped-up build process.
