Most AI design tools get tested on what they can generate. I tested Claude Design on whether it could work inside a system that already existed.

What I loved about it is that it reasons before it builds. It had a point of view. It flagged its own mistakes before I caught them.

What slipped a bit for me: give it nuanced information and it'll smooth it over to sound cohesive. It can lose accuracy chasing consistency.

It's more of a thinking collaborator than a generator - but the judgment calls are still yours.

Built an infinite canvas grid in Webflow with Claude Code. Hooked up to the CMS, so adding a new image is just a new entry.

The usual portfolio grid is 2x2 or 3x3. This one lets you scroll in any direction and place things wherever. Feels more like a moodboard.

The images bob up and down a tiny bit so it doesn't feel static. Hover zooms in slightly. Click zooms all the way in, flashes the screen white, and opens a new tab.

Here’s my visual exploration of retro pastel editorial aesthetics using Krea AI’s newest image model, Krea 2.

For this test, I used the Style Transfer feature together with curated references to see how well the model could maintain a consistent visual direction across multiple generations.
