Most organizations don't struggle because they lack credibility.
They struggle because visitors can't see it.
That was the challenge with UKILP.
Over the years, the organization had built an impressive ecosystem of legal leaders, advisory board members, committees, chapters, events, and cross-border initiatives connecting India and the UK.
The problem wasn't the work.
The problem was helping a first-time visitor understand the full picture.
So instead of focusing on visual changes first, we focused on structure.
We reorganized the website around how people naturally explore a professional network—who's involved, what opportunities exist, and how to participate.
The result is a digital experience that makes the scale of the organization easier to understand and easier to engage with.
Sometimes the biggest improvement isn't adding more content.
It's making the existing value impossible to miss.

When the Irish College of Traditional and Integrative Medicine came to me for a full Webflow rebuild, the first thing I did wasn't open Figma.
It was open GA4.
Their existing site had real problems and the data was telling the story. Low retention, drop-offs at key pages, forms that weren't converting. Before touching a single design element, we needed to understand why.
Once we had that picture, everything else followed. Copy restructured around what visitors actually needed to see. Forms rebuilt for clarity. Layout decisions made with evidence, not guesswork.
The result was a site that works harder for them and their students.
That's what I mean when I say web design is strategy first. The visuals are just how the strategy shows up.

Most complex websites don’t have a content problem. They have an arrival problem.
I built TobyGodden.com/help because my work is spread across browser instruments, film, live video, music, writing and AI systems. A project grid left the visitor to make sense of all that alone.
The guide begins somewhere else: why are you here?
Commissioning, researching, listening, reading, collaborating—or simply curious. It works from a small, approved corpus, asks one useful question, then points to one place rather than ten.
There’s no vector database and no chatbot pretending to know everything. It’s plain JavaScript, PHP, Claude, a 25KB curated corpus and deterministic fallback routing when the model fails.
The interesting part isn’t really the AI. It’s deciding what the system is allowed to know, what it must never claim, and what counts as a useful next step.
I think more portfolios, archives and cultural websites need a conversational front door—not more navigation.

Most law firm websites read like a PDF that learned HTML - beige, safe, forgettable. NJQ & Associates broke that mold: a 40-year IP practice with a homepage built around a literal glowing shield, an orange-to-black gradient that feels more high-stakes thriller than fee schedule, and a world map flexing their reach across the Middle East and beyond.
