I build the backend that makes your product actually run: REST APIs, clean data models, authentication, and the tests that prove it all works instead of hoping it does.
What I bring:
Python / FastAPI APIs built end to end, from data modeling to deployment
PostgreSQL schema design and relational modeling that won't fall apart at scale
Auth done right: JWT, role-based access, resource-level permissions
A verify-it mindset. I use AI tools to move fast, but I test and review what ships. Correctness is proven, not assumed.
Background: five years in regulated, safety-critical manufacturing before software, so "careful" and "it actually works" are how I default. Recent work includes a defect-tracking API (FastAPI, PostgreSQL, RBAC, full test suite) and a consumer web app handling sensitive user data.

This one's a code project: I rebuilt Payy's React marketing site — a stablecoin payments company — from the front-end up. New typography system, a reusable motion foundation (scroll reveals, animated stats, page transitions), a handful of custom components, and a footer with proper parallax. All hand-written, no UI framework doing the heavy lifting.
I ran the whole build through Claude Code, which is where 15 years of front-end experience actually pays off — I'm not prompting and hoping. I know what good motion feels like, how to keep things performant and accessible, and where the real work is. The AI moves fast; the engineering judgment is mine. I also work fluently with MCPs like the Figma MCP, so I can pull straight from design files into clean, accurate code.
