For a long time, masonry layouts needed workarounds.
Most of us used JavaScript libraries, CSS columns, or custom hacks to get the effect.
Now CSS is moving toward a more natural masonry-style solution with Grid.
Why this matters:
• familiar Grid workflow
• cleaner responsive layouts
• less reliance on JS hacks
• better developer experience overall
It’s one of those features that can make modern UI implementation feel much more native.
