For the #FLORAMuseum challenge, I wanted to bridge the gap between early human curiosity and the future of data.

I chose the 1462 Regiomontanus Astrolabe from The Met's open archive (https://shorturl.at/UqE2h).

What blew me away about this instrument is that over 500 years ago, people with an average lifespan of 30–35 years used pure physics, faith, and copper craft to map the entire night sky and find meaning in the universe. It proves that no matter how small we feel, human curiosity is limitless.

In this FLORA canvas project, I built a home for it in 2125: an architectural, dark-mode museum gallery where the astrolabe sits under protective glass beneath massive holographic star charts and server monoliths. We might be moving toward a cyberpunk future driven by data science and digital systems, but our coordinates will always trace back to instruments like this.
