A good UI shouldn't make you figure out where to look.
That's one of the things I keep thinking about when working on interfaces.
Hierarchy does a lot of the work before the user consciously notices it. What gets your attention first, what feels secondary, and what can stay quietly in the background.
So I don't think the goal is to make every part of a screen interesting.
The goal is to make the important part obvious.
This is the kind of UI thinking I try to bring into my work as a Product Designer and Framer Developer based in Lagos.
