The silence hit harder than I expected.
When I first joined Contra, I upgraded to Pro, thinking it would give me momentum. It didn’t.
No clients. No messages. Just quiet. And for someone who’s been designing for years that silence hits differently.
But here’s what I learned: The problem wasn’t Contra. It was me.
I treated it like a portfolio site, not a growth tool. I showed the visuals but not the thinking. The strategy, the systems, the why behind my work, that’s what connects.
So I’m giving Contra a second chance. Not out of hope out of clarity.
This time, I’m showing up like a product designer who knows his value. Testing, refining, sharing openly until the right clients find me.
If you’ve felt that same silence, don’t disappear. Sometimes the breakthrough starts right after you stop expecting easy wins.
