I made 122 designs in 141 days yet I’m not a designer.
Somewhere between leading frontend and backend teams, reviewing UI decisions, arguing about spacing, colors, and “why is this button like that,” I apparently became that person who designs things.
Of course, professionally I use Figma but I can’t show you any of it (confidential), turns out when you spend enough time: Reviewing designs, suggesting fixes and coding those designs, you eventually start designing.
So yeah:
122 designs, 141 days, 0 “official designer” titles
Still shipping code. Still leading teams. Still doing cool stuff.
