GULAG: From a WhatsApp/Linktree to an Operating System in SPANISH because GULAG is on Cochabamba, Bolivia.
The story behind this one is personal. GULAG is my friend's multi-activity sports center in Cochabamba, Bolivia — paintball, gel blaster, fútbol 5 and wally, plus their signature LED night paintball. A while back, playing there, we talked about how the business deserved a real online presence. Life happened, the idea stayed parked. This challenge was the push to finally build it.
** The before: GULAG was doing the hard part right — active TikTok, 1,500+ Instagram followers, genuinely great content. But all that traffic died at the finish line: their entire web presence was a Linktree, and "RESERVAS" was a bare WhatsApp link. Every booking meant a manual chat — court by court, hour by hour, across four different services. The owner was the booking system.
The after: A complete, live, mobile-first website built in Base44 → https://gulag-combat-hub.base44.app X post
- Real-time booking system for all 4 arenas: live availability, smart schedules (weekday vs weekend hours), past-hours auto-blocked, and server-side double-booking protection
- Arena catalog with technical specs, included equipment and per-arena galleries
- Admin panel (role-protected): manage bookings, block time slots for private events, view leads
- Full brand system: military-industrial identity with tactical neon accents, built for the business's actual personality
** The automations (4):
- Booking → structured WhatsApp to the business. Arena, date, time, players, name, phone — one message, zero back-and-forth. The slot locks automatically.
- Event form → lead + WhatsApp quote request. Birthday inquiries are captured in the database AND sent structured to the business.
- One-click customer confirmation. From the admin panel, the owner confirms a booking and "AVISAR AL CLIENTE" opens WhatsApp to the customer with the confirmation pre-written. The full cycle runs without anyone typing a message.
- AI Superagent "Mission Control." Available site-wide via floating button: answers FAQs, checks real availability by reading live booking data, recommends arenas, and captures event leads on its own.

Transparency note: the WhatsApp flows currently run through my number for demo and judging purposes while I finalize the handover conversation with the owner — switching to the business number is a one-line change. What started as a conversation between friends at a paintball field is now a working product waiting for its keys.
