HOME BETWEEN FLOORS
This is my first Contra challenge and my entry for the CapCut Seedance 2.5 Video Challenge.
I wanted to create a one-take film that feels like a quiet, directed short film rather than a sequence of AI-generated spectacle.
The story follows a woman returning home late at night, carrying groceries into an old apartment elevator. With every opening of the elevator doors, the same seventh-floor corridor appears in another era—traces of the past, a familiar life once lived, and a distant future where time has moved on.
The elevator becomes a small space between memory, loss, and home.
The camera never leaves the elevator after entering. In one uninterrupted 30-second take, the woman watches time change beyond the doors before the final opening returns her to the present, where her father is waiting outside their apartment.
Built entirely in CapCut Video Studio with Seedance 2.5.
