Nice flow. One tip from building these: add a validation step before the Sheets write (required fields present, totals add up, dates parse). Route anything that fails to a 'needs review' tab instead of letting bad rows slip in silently.
Great idea! I'll definitely add a validation step and a review tab to catch those errors early.
Clean flow. For messy layouts I'd also log a confidence score per extracted field, so you can see which ones deserve a human glance. Does it handle scanned PDFs too, or only digital ones?
Right now it’s just digital PDFs, but if I swap the PDF-to-text node for an AI model node like Gemini or ChatGPT, it can handle scanned ones too!
Nice, swapping in a vision model is a smart upgrade for scanned files. Are you planning to add a fallback for when the AI node isn't confident?
Yes, exactly! The plan is to route the output of the model directly into a Google Sheet so it can be easily reviewed.

That’s what orchestration is for.
A well-designed system knows what to:
→ 𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗟𝗘 routine work within clear limits.
→ 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗙𝗬 against policy, rules, and expected outcomes.
→ 𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗧𝗘𝗥 duplicates, noise, and low-value signals.
→ 𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗘 work to the right owner or system.
→ 𝗘𝗦𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗘 uncertainty and high-consequence decisions.
Humans handle the judgment calls.
Sampling and audits check what did not escalate.
Those findings improve the rules, not just clear today’s queue.
It is how I run my own agent fleets.
Because if your dashboard counts AI output but ignores the human hours needed to review it, it isn’t measuring productivity.
