I decided to participate in the @GiveItAGlow challenge by @Base44 on Contra with a project focused on giving a real local business the digital presence it deserves.
For this challenge, I chose Strafrutta, a fresh fruit business that sells high-quality products directly to customers.
The before:
Their website didn’t communicate the quality, freshness, or green identity of the brand. The homepage mainly showed the location, with little storytelling or emotional connection. The shop experience felt outdated, difficult to use, and had a poor UX that created friction during the buying process.
The after:
I redesigned the entire experience into a modern, vibrant, and user-friendly platform.
The homepage combines Base44’s clean and structured design language with interactive 3D elements, bringing fruit products to life while maintaining excellent responsiveness across desktop, tablet, and mobile. I introduced warmer colors, premium product photography, and a more welcoming visual identity to reflect the quality of Strafrutta’s products.
The shop experience was rebuilt with a focus on usability, allowing customers to easily browse products, use filters, and complete their purchase journey smoothly.
But the goal wasn’t only a better-looking website — it was creating a tool that helps the business operate better.
I added:
🍌 AI chatbot assistant “Mimmo”
A lead-generation assistant that collects customer requests, understands their needs, and sends qualified messages directly to the admin team for follow-up.
📦 Admin management system
A dedicated dashboard where Strafrutta can:
Manage orders
Track customer requests from the chatbot
Update, add, or remove products
Manage stock availability
⭐ Digital loyalty card
Customers can track their purchases, monitor their progress, and see how close they are to unlocking their next reward.
The result is a platform that connects customers directly with Strafrutta while giving the business modern tools for sales, customer support, inventory management, and retention.

Santa-Cruz Travel Agency — From Word of Mouth & Instagram DMs to a Full Tour Selection Platform
Description:
Santa-Cruz is a real travel agency in Odessa, Ukraine with 25+ years of experience and a 5.0 Google rating. Over the decades they built a loyal base of repeat clients who come back year after year and recommend the agency to friends and family through word of mouth.
Their online presence: an outdated website that was eventually abandoned, an Instagram account, and Telegram. New clients find them almost exclusively through personal recommendations from people who've travelled with them for years. I personally love this agency — and I wanted to give them a real chance to grow beyond word of mouth.
The After:
A fully designed, bilingual (EN/UA) website built entirely in Base44 — live, mobile-responsive, and built for real business operations from day one.
What I built:
-Hero with bilingual copy and destination overview
-Interactive tour catalog with 8 destinations (Turkey, Egypt, Spain, Greece, UAE, Cyprus, Maldives, Tunisia)
-Hot Deals section with weekly tour table, filters by destination and duration, and fan-card animation
-AI Superagent chat widget answering FAQs about tours, visas, and pricing in Ukrainian 24/7
-Personal tour selection form — client fills in destination, dates, budget, number of adults and children → saved to database → manager receives instant email with full client details to prepare a personalised offer
-Packing Checklist automation — user selects destination, enters email, receives a custom checklist automatically
-Live weather widget for all destinations via OpenWeatherMap API
-Memory Gallery with Pinterest-style masonry layout
-Tips blog with expert articles from the agency's 25+ years of experience
-Interactive Google Maps embed in Contacts
-Full bilingual EN/UA language switcher
The automation that matters most:
Before: every lead came through DMs. The manager had to manually ask each client about destination, dates, budget, and group size — one message at a time.
After: every inquiry hits a database and triggers an immediate email to the manager with the full client profile — ready to call and offer the perfect tour without a single back-and-forth message.
This is not a booking engine — it's a personalised tour selection service, digitised.

J&C Rentals & Travel — From Messenger PMs to a Live Booking Platform
Project description:
J&C Rentals & Travel is a husband-and-wife car rental and tour business in Bulacan, Philippines. As a newly launched business, they were managing all inquiries and bookings through Facebook Messenger, making it difficult to organize reservations and scale their operations.
I designed and built a complete five-page website on Base44—Home, Rentals & Services, Tours, About, and Book Now—featuring real vehicle photography, a comprehensive service catalog, and a fully interactive Baguio day-tour itinerary. The platform includes several workflow automations that streamline day-to-day operations:
Booking Automation: Customer reservations are automatically submitted to the owner's dashboard as structured booking records, eliminating manual tracking through Messenger.
Availability Management: Confirmed vehicle rentals automatically block out reserved dates, preventing double bookings and ensuring customers can only book available schedules.
Tour Capacity Automation: Every successful tour reservation automatically deducts the number of booked seats from the available capacity, updating the remaining slots counter in real time.
Automated Pricing: Rental and tour reservations automatically calculate the total cost and required deposit, reducing manual computation and improving accuracy.
