Job Title: UTM, GTM & GoHighLevel Conversion Tracking Specialist
We’re looking for an experienced tracking and attribution specialist to set up accurate end-to-end marketing tracking across paid ads, organic traffic, forms, calendars, and GoHighLevel.
The goal is to clearly see what marketing efforts are working, what is not working, and which campaigns, ads, and traffic sources are generating leads, form submissions, calendar bookings, and conversions.
Responsibilities
Set up and standardize UTM tracking for all traffic sources, including:
Facebook / Instagram Ads
PPC campaigns
Reddit Ads
Organic traffic
Referral traffic
Other paid and unpaid marketing channels
Configure Google Tag Manager tracking for key conversion events, including:
Form submissions
Calendar bookings
Lead capture events
Landing page conversions
Button clicks or funnel steps where needed
Ensure all lead and conversion data flows accurately into GoHighLevel, including:
Source
Medium
Campaign name
Ad set / ad group
Ad name or ad ID
Keyword where applicable
Landing page
Form submitted
Calendar booked
Conversion event details
Original traffic source where possible
Required Outcome
We need to be able to clearly identify:
Which campaigns are working
Which campaigns are not working
Which ads are generating leads
Which traffic sources are converting
Which forms and calendars are producing results
Where leads are coming from before they enter GoHighLevel
Whether attribution data is passing correctly into contact records, opportunities, and reports
The setup must be accurate, tested, and reliable so our team can make marketing decisions based on clean conversion data.
Deliverables
Complete UTM structure for all marketing channels
GTM conversion tracking setup
Form submission tracking
Calendar booking tracking
Campaign/ad-level tracking where supported
Verified data flow into GoHighLevel
Testing and validation report
Documentation showing how the tracking is structured
Instructions for adding UTMs to future campaigns
Requirements
Strong experience with Google Tag Manager
Strong experience with UTM tracking and attribution
Experience with Facebook/Instagram Ads tracking
Experience with Google Ads / PPC tracking
Experience with Reddit Ads tracking is a plus
Experience with GoHighLevel / GHL is required
Ability to troubleshoot tracking issues and ensure data accuracy
Ability to document setup clearly for future use
Strong attention to detail
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has already implemented UTM/GTM tracking systems where lead source, campaign, ad set, ad name, and conversion details are passed into a CRM like GoHighLevel.
They should understand how to connect ad platforms, landing pages, forms, calendars, GTM events, and GHL fields/workflows so we can accurately report on campaign performance.
Ideal Outcome
After setup, we should be able to log into GoHighLevel and clearly see where each lead came from, which campaign or ad generated it, what action they took, and whether that campaign is worth continuing, scaling, or stopping.
