Over the past few weeks, I've been researching the real estate business as part of my learning and upskilling journey.

And one thing has become increasingly clear to me:

Understanding a business is just as important as understanding the technology used to improve it.

Its easy to get excited about AI, automation, and new technologies. But before thinking about solutions, I believe we need to understand the actual challenges businesses face every day.

For real estate businesses, I'm particularly interested in understanding how they manage customer inquiries, follow up with potential buyers, organize their daily operations, and avoid losing opportunities along the way.

Where are businesses losing valuable time?

What processes create unnecessary work?

And what problems could be solved with simple, practical solutions?

I dont believe every business needs complicated technology. Sometimes, the biggest improvement starts with understanding a problem that has been overlooked for too long.

That's the perspective I want to keep developing: understand the problem first, then build a solution that makes business easier.

I'd love to learn from people who are already in the industry.

If you work in real estate, own an agency, or understand the property business, what's one challenge you think deserves more attention?

I'm interested in hearing your experiences and learning from your perspective.

The point about understanding the problem before picking the technology resonates. For real estate inquiries and follow-up, I'd be curious whether the biggest leak turns out to be slow first responses or leads dropping off after the first reply, since those need very different fixes.

I designed and built this hero as a concept for Nation, an AI store builder for first-time sellers. You write one sentence, and Nation builds the store, runs the ads and ships the orders while you approve each step

The brief asked for “a nation, not a SaaS.” A nation is somewhere you travel to, so the hero is a boarding pass for one trip: JOB → OWN, from your 9-to-5 to your own store. The ticket’s only highlight is “First sale,” which promises money without promising a number

Before the ticket I tried a flag, a passport, a main street of shops and a shipping box. The box didn’t make it, but its airmail stripes ended up on the stub

On the live page the two torn halves of the ticket snap together, the page builds around it, and hovering flips it to the back. Below that, one real seller’s story explains the product with the interface set into the sentence

Live site: nation-site-xi.vercel.app Concept work, not affiliated with Nation

The boarding pass idea for "JOB to OWN" is clever. Love that the ticket tears apart as the page builds.
