Design Intent
The intention behind Naga Residence was to create a contemporary home with a strong connection to South Indian architectural character. Rather than treating regional materials as decorative elements, the project explores how texture, pattern, and natural finishes can shape the experience of a space.
Material Palette
The material language brings together patterned Athangudi tiles, tactile laterite finishes, and wooden flooring in the master bedroom. Each material introduces a distinct character while contributing to a cohesive residential environment.
Design Approach
The renovation focuses on balancing the familiar with the contemporary. Regional references are interpreted through a cleaner design language, allowing material richness and spatial simplicity to coexist.
Project Philosophy
At Studio THIRD AXIS, we believe meaningful design comes from understanding context, material, and the way people inhabit a space. Naga Residence reflects this approach through a material-led renovation that brings regional identity into contemporary everyday living.

The project combines liquid chrome, emerald glass, metallic textures, and refined pearlescent surfaces to create a series of striking visual compositions. Each artwork explores the interplay of light, reflections, depth, and contrasting materials, bringing together cyberpunk influences, avant-garde fashion, and high-end editorial aesthetics. The result is a cohesive collection of sophisticated digital visuals that merges artistic experimentation with contemporary luxury design. Created as a personal creative project using AI-assisted visual generation and digital art direction.
