Every padel player knows the problem: you have the court, you have two friends, and you are one short. In Spain it has a name, falta uno.
COTA is a padel club concept for Madrid, built on Base44 around that moment. Book a court, say how many of you are coming and leave Falta uno on. Every player within half a level of you who wants alerts gets an email the same second. The first to tap Join takes the spot, the match board updates live for everyone, and the court fee splits four ways on its own.
What runs on Base44:
Bookings checked on the server, so two people can never take the same court and time
Falta uno alerts by email to players at your level
First tap wins when two people join the last spot, and the players in the match get a confirmation
A live match board, a live club plan and the whole club in 3D for picking a court
Sign-in with Google or email, with a level from 1 to 7

Northbound🚀: Studio Autopilot
An AI-powered client pipeline for creative studios, wrapped in a hand-built 3D world. A brief comes in, gets scored and routed, becomes a priced proposal, is accepted online and turns into a running project, with no one chasing emails.
Every studio knows the feeling: a new brief lands and the clock starts. Then come hours of reading, qualifying, writing proposals, chasing replies and setting up the project. Northbound turns that whole journey into one automated flow, so a small studio can respond like a big one.
The problem: Creative studios lose their best hours to admin. Strong leads wait days for a proposal, weak ones eat the same time as good ones, and follow-ups slip through the cracks. The work that wins clients is the work nobody has time for.
The solution:
- AI brief scoring and routing. Every brief is read for budget, timeline, goals and fit, then routed one of three ways: fast track, a quick human review, or an honest, helpful decline with pointers.
- Tailored proposals in about a minute. Strong fits get a scoped proposal with workstreams, a realistic timeline and three priced packages.
- Online acceptance and kickoff booking. Clients pick a package, accept online and book their kickoff call on the spot.
- A project that runs itself. Milestones are planned on acceptance, and follow-ups and reminders go out automatically.
- A morning digest. Every day at 08:00 the studio owner gets a summary of new briefs, proposals awaiting review, clients who haven’t replied, and what’s due.
- An owner dashboard showing pipeline, win rate and hours saved, plus a review queue to approve held proposals in one click.
- A live demo console where anyone can send a sample brief through the real pipeline and watch each step happen.
The morning digest is my favorite part here. When inquiries, proposals and deadlines are all in one place, you don't have to start the day searching through conversations. I'd just put the items that need an owner's decision today at the top.
Dear Guest, Entry 2: the same little Roman house, one week of work later.
I build booking websites for short-term rental hosts in Rome, and they all answer the same questions for every guest. Dear Guest turns those answers into five postcards the host writes once. Each guest gets a house of their own: every window is a postcard behind shutters until its day, the intercom ("Ask the house") answers from the host's own manual, and the shop next door sells the extras.
What's new since Entry 1, after an outside audit:
- The guest's essentials (door code, wifi, directions and a button to call the host) sit on an enamel sign on the roof. Each follows its postcard's rule: the code only appears on arrival day. After dark, a spotlight lights each compartment.
- The postcards got the most care: brighter colours, white icons, a perforated stamp, and a terracotta window box under each one that flowers once the guest has arrived.
- The front door has its number above the arch, a travertine step and a lantern that lights up at night.
- A real person is one tap away: call or WhatsApp the host, separate from the AI.
- When the house can't answer, the host replies to that guest on their own page; adding the answer to the manual for everyone is a separate choice.
- On wide screens the extras live in the bottega next door, a lit shop window with the extras on display.
- The host's post office opens on what needs them, and every figure says exactly what it counts.
- The street came alive (paper clouds, a cat on the roof, neighbours), and all of it can be paused.
What runs by itself: bookings sync every hour from Airbnb, Booking.com and Vrbo calendars; every morning a postman delivers the postcards that are due; "Ask the house" answers with AI from the manual only and never gives away the door code; every night the public demo moves to fresh dates.
Built on Base44: entities with row-level security per host, backend functions for the guest page, calendar sync, postman, AI answers and the public demo, 3 scheduled workflows, and a React front end designed around one idea: the page is the house.
