ASHEN FRONT — AI Cinematic Action Film
Project Type: Independent Cinematic Film Concept Category: AI Video Generation, Cinematic Storytelling, AI Filmmaking & Video Editing Final Runtime: 1 Minute 48 Seconds Video Style: Photorealistic Cinematic Action-Thriller Production Tools: ChatGPT, ChatGPT Image Generation, Google Flow, Adobe Premiere Pro
Project Overview
ASHEN FRONT is an original AI-assisted cinematic action-thriller film concept created to demonstrate how generative AI, cinematic storytelling, sound design, and professional video editing can be combined to produce a cohesive film-style experience.
The story takes place in a modern city bordering a mysterious jungle. When a military commander disturbs an ancient containment system, a powerful predatory creature awakens and threatens the city. A former rescue operative, a wildlife-signal scientist, and a jungle guardian become involved in a dangerous confrontation as police and tactical response teams attempt to contain the escalating threat.
The project was designed to feel like a cinematic movie trailer rather than a collection of unrelated AI-generated videos. It combines character-driven storytelling, environmental world-building, creature action, human combat, suspense, dialogue, and cinematic sound.
The completed film has a final runtime of 1 minute and 48 seconds.
Client / Business Information
This is an independent creative concept project, not a commissioned production for an external business. The fictional film concept, characters, story, visual direction, and production workflow were developed specifically to demonstrate my AI filmmaking and post-production capabilities.
The project showcases a workflow that can be adapted for cinematic trailers, entertainment concepts, promotional videos, branded storytelling, short films, and creative video campaigns.
My Role & Responsibilities
I managed the creative planning and production workflow, from developing the initial story concept to assembling the final cinematic video.
Creative Direction & Story Development
Developed the original action-thriller concept, narrative progression, and cinematic atmosphere.
Planned the story around suspense, mystery, creature reveals, character confrontations, and action sequences.
Structured the narrative into short, individually generated scenes that could be assembled into a continuous film.
Designed the relationship between the city, jungle, research ruins, and industrial locations.
AI Character & Visual Development
Established visual identities for the main characters: Aiden Cross, Dr. Maya Sen, Rhak Torr, Commander Voss, and Varka.
Created supporting visual references and character concepts using ChatGPT image generation.
Defined character appearance, wardrobe, identifying features, environment, lighting, and visual continuity requirements.
Prepared scene-specific prompts to help preserve character identity and the established visual style across generated clips.
AI Video Generation & Direction
Used Google Flow to generate short cinematic video clips using detailed prompts and visual references.
Directed camera movements, shot composition, character blocking, action choreography, pacing, and scene transitions through prompt design.
Specified realistic movement, weight, momentum, environmental interaction, and physical contact for character and creature action.
Developed prompts for city environments, jungle sequences, creature reveals, police operations, rescue scenes, and combat.
Iteratively reviewed generated footage and refined scene instructions to improve continuity, motion quality, and visual consistency.
Dialogue, Voice & Sound Design
Planned dialogue for individual characters according to their personalities, roles, and emotional states.
Used Google Flow's audio generation workflow to create dialogue and sound alongside the video clips.
Directed character voice qualities, including vocal tone, pitch, delivery, accent, pacing, and emotional intensity.
Planned environmental ambience, creature vocalisations, footsteps, vehicle sounds, impacts, electronic effects, and cinematic background music.
Designed audio cues to support the dramatic progression of the story and the timing of visual actions.
Professional Video Editing & Post-Production
Used Adobe Premiere Pro to assemble the generated clips into a continuous cinematic film.
Selected, arranged, and trimmed scenes to establish narrative flow and maintain the final 1:48 runtime.
Refined pacing and transitions between city, jungle, creature-action, and character-confrontation scenes.
Integrated the generated dialogue, sound effects, environmental ambience, and music with the visual action.
Worked toward consistent colour, atmosphere, audio balance, and cinematic presentation across footage generated in separate sessions.
Tools & Technologies
ChatGPT Used for story development, cinematic planning, character design documentation, shot breakdowns, prompt engineering, dialogue writing, sound planning, and continuity instructions.
ChatGPT Image Generation Used to develop visual concepts and supporting character or scene references for the AI video production workflow.
Google Flow Used to generate the cinematic video clips from detailed prompts and visual references, with generated dialogue, character voices, ambience, and sound elements incorporated into the production workflow.
Adobe Premiere Pro Used for video assembly, trimming, sequencing, pacing, transitions, audio integration, and final post-production.
Production Workflow
1. Concept & Pre-Production I developed the fictional film concept and mapped out the story into short cinematic scenes. Each scene was planned around a specific narrative purpose, such as establishing the city, introducing the antagonist, revealing the creature, escalating the danger, or setting up the final confrontation.
2. Character & Environment References I developed the main character designs and supporting visual references. I defined recurring visual characteristics and prepared continuity instructions for reuse during video generation.
3. Prompt-Driven Video Production I used Google Flow to generate individual 8-second source clips. Each scene prompt specified the intended action, camera angle, movement, character performance, environment, lighting, dialogue, and sound direction.
4. Iteration & Quality Control I reviewed generated footage for facial consistency, wardrobe changes, creature anatomy, movement, physical interactions, scene continuity, and audio timing. I refined prompts and selected suitable generated footage for the edit.
5. Editing & Sound Integration I brought the selected clips into Adobe Premiere Pro, arranged them in story order, trimmed the footage, and integrated dialogue, environmental audio, effects, and music to create a continuous cinematic experience.
6. Final Assembly I completed the final edit as a 1-minute-48-second cinematic action film, bringing together the separate AI-generated scenes into a unified narrative with a consistent visual direction and escalating dramatic tension.
Creative & Technical Challenges
Character Consistency Across AI-Generated Clips Generating scenes separately can lead to changes in facial identity, clothing, equipment, and creature anatomy. I addressed this through saved character references, detailed identity constraints, and repeated continuity instructions.
Realistic Motion & Physics Creature movement and hand-to-hand action require coherent weight, balance, contact, acceleration, and momentum. I used detailed action choreography and physical constraints in the prompts to guide the generated motion toward a more believable live-action appearance.
Audio & Voice Continuity Each character needed a distinct vocal identity that matched their personality and on-screen performance. I planned individual voice characteristics and scene-specific delivery instructions, along with sound effects and ambience that supported the action.
Cohesive Storytelling Each generated clip had to communicate a clear story beat while connecting naturally to the next scene. I planned opening and ending compositions, character motivations, transitions, and sound cues to make the finished film feel more continuous.
Final Deliverable
The final deliverable is a 1-minute-48-second AI-assisted cinematic action film combining original story development, character-driven scenes, realistic environments, creature action, generated dialogue and sound, and professional video editing.
The project demonstrates my ability to manage a creative AI video workflow across planning, prompt engineering, visual generation, character continuity, audio direction, and post-production.
