Crafting an Interactive 3D Model Viewer & Walkthrough Engine
Static blueprints simply don't do justice to beautiful architecture.
As a Full-Stack 3D Developer with over 9 years of software engineering experience, I designed and engineered this web-based 3D Model Studio to let users upload raw 3D assets, map spatial annotations, and instantly experience physical spaces in real-time.
🛠️ The Technical Breakdown:
3D Optimization Pipeline: Engineered the system to smoothly parse and initialize heavy .glb / .gltf CAD files within seconds in the browser.
Perspective Presets: Built camera controllers that let users rotate around a full 3D dollhouse model or switch to an exact top-down layout view at the click of a button.
Walk-In Physics (First-Person): Implemented a WASD/keyboard-driven navigation system that lets users land directly on the floor and walk through the layout smoothly.
Dynamic Loading States: Added robust data state-handling during the 3D database preparation phase to ensure a flawless user experience.
