I don’t often use AI visuals in my work, and honestly, I used to be completely against it. But seeing how the Contra community uses AI as an extension of their process (rather than a replacement) really shifted my view. So I started exploring how it could enhance mine.

One of my biggest time-sinks has always been finding the right stock images, especially when the subject matter is super specific. For example, a client I worked with last year focused on accessible interior renovations. I was very keen on sketch-to-render style visuals, but every stock image I found was just a generic modern living space.

So I recreated the concept with AI, in the same style, but actually tailored to accessible design.

Yess this is such a good example of how AI can enhance our work in an authentic way. I struggle a lot to find the RIGHT stock images for social assets, but these image generators are getting so good, you can be really creative with it!
