AfriNaija Pot needed more than a basic restaurant website. The goal was to create a digital space that could properly represent the restaurant, showcase its food and atmosphere, make reservations easier, and give potential customers a strong first impression before they ever stepped inside.
The website brings the restaurant’s story, menu, environment, customer experiences, reservations, and social presence together in one clear experience.
The Problem
A lot of restaurant websites follow the same formula — menu, gallery, contact information, done.
I wanted AfriNaija Pot to feel different.
The challenge was to create something functional for the business while still giving the restaurant its own visual identity. Visitors needed to quickly understand what AfriNaija Pot offers, experience some of the personality of the brand, explore the menu, and easily make a reservation.
The Design Direction
My main idea throughout the design process was differentiation.
I didn't want to create another generic restaurant template. I wanted the website to have its own taste, rhythm, and character.
The design uses AfriNaija Pot's green and white identity while combining strong imagery, typography, spacing, layouts, and interactive elements to make each section feel intentional.
Rather than simply displaying information, I designed the website to guide visitors through the restaurant experience — from discovering the brand, to seeing the food and environment, to ultimately making a reservation.
The Experience
The final website includes:
A strong restaurant landing experience
Brand and restaurant story
Food and menu presentation
Restaurant environment and atmosphere
Online reservation functionality
Customer testimonials
Social media integration
Responsive design across desktop and mobile
The reservation system was also connected to a backend so customer reservation requests could be collected directly through the website.
The Outcome
The finished platform gives AfriNaija Pot a digital presence that feels much closer to the personality of the actual restaurant.
For me, this project was about proving that a restaurant website doesn't have to look like every other restaurant website.
It can still be functional, easy to navigate, and business-focused while having a distinct creative identity of its own.
I designed these mockups for Memo, a platform for small and growing restaurants that have outgrown spreadsheets and WhatsApp but aren’t ready for enterprise software.
They show where owners actually meet the brand: the counter, the apron, the notebook, and the phone.
Memo’s job is to bring scattered information together, so the identity does the same: one logo system and one color story, consistent in every place an owner touches it.
