Motion Design Showreel — Afriex
A selection of motion design work I created for Afriex across social media, paid advertising, product campaigns, and brand communication. My role covered concept development, visual direction, animation, editing, and adapting static brand assets into engaging motion content.
The work combines typography, illustration, product storytelling, transitions, and branded animation, primarily using Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro. Each piece was designed to communicate financial products clearly while keeping the content fast-paced, engaging, and consistent with Afriex’s visual identity.
This reel reflects my approach to motion design: strong brand thinking first, then movement that improves the story rather than adding animation for its own sake.

This is why I storyboard before animation.
At that stage, we can still move scenes around, change the story, and try a different composition without rebuilding the animation.
Once the timing, transitions, and voiceover are connected, the same change can become a much bigger job.
I prefer agreeing on what each scene needs to communicate first. Then I can focus on how it moves.
Storyboard first. Animation second. Fewer “small changes” that turn out to be very large ones :)

Experimenting with avatar animation using Figma + Motion ✨
Honestly, I never thought Figma Motion could generate motion this smooth, it’s starting to feel surprisingly close to what I’d normally achieve in After Effects.
Figma Motion is definitely making motion exploration much more accessible for product designers. 👀
This is getting surprisingly close to AE for quick motion exploration. Curious how well it holds up once the animations get more complex.
