If your starting image looks too polished with no detailing's, the video model will overcorrect and the result looks fake. Here's what actually works:
→ Keyframe your starting image with natural imperfections and fine details
→ Write a long, specific prompt the more precise, the better
→ For the video prompt, describe motion do not repeat details.(a orange cat sitting with blah blah blah) Most creators just repeat their image prompt, which causes the model to distort the visuals trying to "re-render" them
That's the difference between AI video that looks alive and AI video that looks generated.

Hi Abhiram. i usually do it prompt level and then sometime refine it later when iterating but i have seen it works best when done at prompt level.

Yeah, it definitely helps with reducing iteration. When the prompt is structured properly from the start, the output becomes more consistent, and I spend less time fixing or regenerating. It saves both time and creative energy.

I was building a concept where a woman trains and a smart mirror tracks her in real time. Both needed to feel like heroes — not a person with a prop in the background, but two equal presences sharing the frame.
When she looked great, the mirror didn't. When the mirror was perfect, she disappeared. Getting both to feel intentional in the same scene took treating them as a relationship in the prompt — she performs, the mirror responds — rather than describing two separate elements.
Once that dynamic was in the prompt, the scene clicked.
