Hi ! I'm Shaïna, I’m only 23 and this year I got news that changed my life. That opened my mind to something that so many women either forget or don’t know how important it is to check regularly.
I created PowHer for the AnythingApp Challenge.
I tried to build PowHer as your good friend that remembers and tells you each month to take 5 minutes for yourself to check in with your body. The app gets you through the whole process and it's based on what doctors actually recommended me.
PowHer tracks your exams/cycle and says when it's the right time. It was hard to do with a few prompts but I tried to make it so the app understands this can feel scary. It connects you to free screening programs near you, explains why warning signs matter.
PS: early detection means a 99% survival rate but that's only if we actually check.
This is such a beautiful example of transforming fear into empowerment. PowHer doesn’t just remind women to check — it gives them knowledge, comfort, and a sense of control. Absolutely amazing work. If you could help every woman understand just one thing about early detection, what would it be?
