Just wondering about people's opinions on Contra Pro. I'm a little miffed it seems you have to pay a large monthly fee, or much larger up-front payment for a year, just to have access to jobs. It seems they reward people with money over people who do good work. Why would I pay a company just to apply for jobs? I had hoped this site would be better than the other freelancing sites, but they all feel like cash grabs that punish the people actually supplying the work that drives the sites' revenues. I first joined because of no commissions from my work, which I appreciated, but now they seem to have basically paywalled everything while still charging clients. It doesn't help that other freelancers post just to brag about how much money they're making on here... makes the site feel tacky.
