For #ConfigMakeathon, I created Someone Left This For You 🪭
A tiny paper-crafted digital experience where strangers leave little worlds behind for one another.
The idea came from two things I love: creating thoughtful digital experiences and the paper craft and origami I spent hours making as a kid.
I'd fold cranes, boats and tiny creations for hours, amazed that something so simple could become something magical. I wanted to bring that same feeling into a digital experience.
So I imagined a place where people could quietly build tiny handcrafted paper worlds, hide anonymous notes of kindness inside them, and release them for someone else to discover.
Users can open a note, read a message left by a stranger, leave a heart or a thoughtful comment, download it, or create a tiny paper world of their own for the next person to find.
To bring the concept to life, I used Figma Weave to explore the art direction through moodboards, paper textures and handcrafted scenes until the visual language felt cohesive.
Rather than fully designing every screen upfront, I used Figma Design to rapidly ideate and prototype the experience, refining the user flow and interactions before moving into development.
I also loved using Figma MCP with Claude Code to iterate quickly on the implementation, interactions and overall experience, while Supabase powered the storage of paper worlds, notes and community data, and GitHub handled deployments.
Finally, I used Figma Make to bring everything together into a polished interactive experience that feels slow, tactile, and intentional.
I hope it reminds people that even the smallest act of kindness can travel further than we imagine. 💛
If you'd like to try it, I'd love for you to explore a few little worlds and maybe leave a kind note, a piece of encouragement, or a little advice for someone who might need it today.
You never know who might need to find it.
