The Hummock
In this video, I share a simple idea I use when designing learning: deliberately creating moments of curiosity, experience and discovery that give people something to remember, share, question or use beyond the session.
I call these moments “hummocks” — small unexpected points in a learning experience that give people somewhere to stop, notice and connect an idea to real life, while also creating space for the core learning to land.

I went down a rabbit hole of old
I came across an amazing piece by Wes Cockx, which inspired me to create something similar.
The goal wasn't just to recreate the visuals, but to understand how the motion works and how to build it using Geometry Nodes in Blender.
It was a great opportunity to experiment, learn new techniques, and practice skills I can bring into future client projects.
Sometimes, the best way to learn is to take something that inspires you and figure out how it works.

Recreating a piece to learn the motion is a great way to practice. The lighting looks sharp.
A good ad doesn't always need a big budget.
Sometimes, it just needs an idea people haven't seen a hundred times before.
A familiar product. An unexpected situation. A story that makes you curious enough to keep watching.
That's the part of advertising I find most interesting: finding a fresh way to make people care about something they've seen before.
Because getting attention is one thing.
Giving people a reason to remember you is another.
