Rumours Luxury Villas is a luxury retreat in Muri Lagoon, designed for those seeking absolute privacy, romance, and a world-class experience. In an adults-only setting, their villas offer private pools, tropical gardens, and direct beach access.
The Challenge
The resort was losing potential guests due to an outdated online experience that didn't match their luxury positioning. A 6-second mobile load time was driving away 53% of mobile visitors. 80% of bookings were coming through OTAs with 15-20% commission fees. Their WordPress site was difficult to update and maintain.
The Solution
I rebuilt their entire digital presence from the ground up, focusing on speed, direct bookings, and operational efficiency: a custom Next.js website with sub-2-second load times, a mobile-first design capturing the luxury resort aesthetic, SEO targeting high-intent travel keywords, and automated email sequences for pre-arrival and post-stay.
