Role: Community Growth & Outreach Marketer (contract), Istina
Istina: Reddit growth plan + 219 Facebook groups mapped across 7 cities
What I did:
Audited 56 subreddits (members, posts per day, self-promo rules, recurring threads) and cut 13 that were dead, restricted or near-empty;
Wrote a 4-phase Reddit growth plan (Trust, Content, Home base, Grow), starting with 2 pilot cities before expanding city by city;
Set a weekly engagement mix where 80-90% of activity never mentions the brand;
Defined 5 content pillars and the metrics to track, from karma and replies to invite-link sign-ups;
Wrote 27 ready-to-post drafts: 15 seed posts for the brand subreddit and 12 comments for live threads;
Found and profiled 219 Facebook groups by city, language, theme, member count, posting activity and privacy;
Mapped the admins of 77 groups (133 admin profiles);
Wrote 86 personalised outreach messages across 4 templates (English city, English niche, Brazilian Portuguese, European Portuguese), opening with a question about the community's must-go places rather than an app link.
For the next 30 days, I'll be sharing practical ideas on how businesses can use social media more intentionally.
I'm focusing on four industries I work with:
🏡 Real Estate
✨ Beauty & Aesthetics
🏗️ Construction
🛋️ Interior Design
Why these industries?
Because people often need more than attractive visuals before they trust a business. They need helpful content, clear communication, and a reason to connect.
I'll be sharing content ideas, strategy tips, common mistakes, and ways to build visibility, engagement, and trust.
My goal is simple: to show that effective social media management is about more than posting. It's about having a purpose behind every post.
If you run a business in any of these industries, what is your biggest social media challenge right now? 👇
A coach messaged me: “We launch our membership next month. We need a website, the community set up, and someone to run our socials.”
Most creators hire three different people for that. I do all three, so everything works together:
→ Websites for coaches, creators and course owners
→ Online communities on Kajabi, Circle, Mighty Networks and Skool
→ Social media management: content strategy, design, scheduling and community replies
When your website, your community and your content come from one place, members don’t drop off between the link in bio and the welcome post.
If you have a launch, a membership or a rebrand coming up, I’d love to help you build it. I’m available on Contra; message me here or check the link in the comments.
The welcome post is an important part of that handoff. Before launch, I’d test the whole path with a fresh member account: link in bio, checkout, access email and first community action. That catches gaps you can miss when testing each platform separately.
A social media campaign shouldn't start with a design.
It should start with a goal.
Before creating campaign content, I want to understand:
→ What does the business want to achieve?
→ Who needs to see the campaign?
→ What message will resonate with that audience?
→ What action should people take?
→ How will we measure the outcome?
These questions help guide the creative direction, content, and campaign setup.
Because a campaign can look amazing and still miss its purpose.
Design gets attention. Strategy gives it direction.
