Paper Halloween Tale | AI Short Film
Preview: A 36-second paper-cut Halloween short film made with AI and DaVinci Resolve.
Objective
Create one continuous visual world for Halloween, where every scene flows into the next through camera movement and light, not through cuts.
What I did
Designed a 20-scene storyboard around one recurring motif: a ribbon of glowing orange paper that becomes a butterfly, a castle, a queen's gown, a vortex and a raven
Generated 20 keyframes in a single strict palette (orange, cream, black)
Animated the story in Google Omni in 4–8 second blocks, using the last frame of each block as the start of the next for seamless transitions
Edited and color-graded in DaVinci Resolve, with music and sound design
Result
A vertical 9:16 film ready for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
