Podcast hosts: try turning a three-part question into one question and two possible follow-ups.
A new fictional example: a producer is preparing an interview with an adult community workshop organizer.
The draft prompt asks: “What changed in your process, how did visitors respond, and what would you do differently?”
The guest answers the last part. The host still wants to understand the change itself.
Try this revision in the conversation brief: • Start with “What changed in your process?” • Listen to that answer before choosing the next prompt • Keep “How did visitors respond?” and “What would you do differently?” as separate follow-ups, using them only if they still fit
If the guest already covers a follow-up naturally, you can move on. The outline gives you places to go without requiring every prepared question to be read aloud.
Shown: the complete, unchanged “Prepare the conversation brief” worksheet from Command Current's Podcast Guest and Episode Readiness Kit. It gives each section a purpose and a prompt or source. Splitting the compound question is an additional manual exercise, separate from the kit's included fictional example.
Five-file ZIP: five-page editable Word packet, matching print PDF, Excel episode-readiness tracker, fictional completed example and Quick Start. Designed for desktop Word and Excel; PDFs are static. Keep recording permissions and agreements in your separate approved records. These planning files don't record audio, edit episodes or publish them.
