Iris, an artfully crafted accessories collection.
For the Recraft challenge, I created an accessories collection inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement, taking four objects from the Tiffany Glass and Decorating Company as my reference for the style. Drawing on the movement’s emphasis on craftsmanship, intricate details, and natural forms, the idea was to make unique accessories with distinctive organic shapes in different materials. Pieces that feel sculptural, unique, thoughtfully designed yet wearable. The materials also feature an iridescent effect similar to the Tiffany collection.
To bring the collection to life, the final images take an editorial approach, using varied poses and carefully considered compositions to reflect the artistry and attention to detail that inspired the collection. I also wanted to present the original objects alongside the finished accessories in a before and after format, styled as an old magazine spread that I believe captures the spirit of the movement.
