Hi, I'm Anna (but you can call me Annie!) ♡
I'm new to Contra so I thought I would make an About Me post and share what I am looking for. First, I'm based in Austin, TX, and when I'm not deep in a client account, you'll probably find me traveling, attending concerts, playing pickleball, doing pilates, and just being outside in the sunshine. I'm someone who genuinely loves getting to know new places and loves doing anything outdoors (and yes, that's picture in my bio is me next to an active volcano in Guatemala not too long ago).
I'm new here on Contra, but not new to this work. Over the last 3+ years, I've built my career in customer success, onboarding, and enterprise account management. First in enterprise sales at Dell Technologies, then in customer success at 8am. Along the way, I've managed 200+ accounts, generated $30M+ in pipeline, closed $3M+ in revenue, and built onboarding programs with a 90% completion rate against a 40% company average, with 100% retention of everyone who completed it.
What I care about most isn't just the numbers, it's the relationships behind them. Data matters and I use it constantly to guide decisions, but if I've learned anything in my career, it's that genuine connection is what actually drives results. A client stays because they trust you, not because of a longer feature list. I like figuring out what a client actually needs, not just what they ask for, and showing up consistently so clients see me as a consultative resource and partner advocating for their business.

Do Cold DMs/Mails, work?
I would, Yes, they do!
It's been almost a year since I started my freelance journey, and thanks to cold DMs have been able to survive and, to be frank, prosper in my 1st year of business.
But just messaging someone to ask them to give you some work doesn't work you need to prove to them that you are providing value to them in a way that is beneficial to them.
So, I started taking these calls over the past year with people in my industry to just to get to know them and build a relationship first and hopefully collaboration in the future. If nothing happens, then you improved your communication that is the worst that can happen!
Yesterday too had a similar call with Alexander Kaas, a great guy; to be frank one of the best conversations I had, and he had been in the industry for more than 14 years. Internet has made it so easy to make connections for people from around the world. USE IT TO YOUR BENEFIT!!!!
