Most SaaS demo videos fail for a boring reason: too much is on screen at once.
The buyer's eye can only be in one place. A full dashboard gives it eleven, so it lands on whatever is brightest — usually the nav bar, never the feature you're paying to show.
My edit is mostly subtraction. One idea per shot. Everything else cropped, dimmed, or pushed out of focus. Motion decides the reading order. Pacing decides whether it gets understood before the cut.
