We have released Bluetooth Framework 7.19.35, and with it the Unity integration has reached a new level. The new version fixes the IL2CPP compilation issues and removes the long-standing requirement for the source-code edition. Precompiled assemblies can now be added directly to a Unity project and built into an IL2CPP player without any additional steps. This removes the main obstacle to using Bluetooth in production Unity builds.โฃ

The framework covers the full range of Bluetooth features in Unity:โฃ
โฃ
BLE GATT client and server, including real connection events on the server sideโฃ
Beacon reception and transmission: iBeacon, Eddystone, AltBeacon, Apple Continuity, and custom formatsโฃ
Classic Bluetooth: RFCOMM, HID (Wii Remote and gamepads), OPP and FTPโฃ
Pairing, bonding, and forced disconnection without unpairingโฃ
The new article explains why standard .NET Bluetooth APIs fail with IL2CPP and how the framework solves it:โฃ
