Show: Born Here
Twenty-five years ago, seven babies were born on the same night, in seven countries, with faces no one had ever seen. One of them, Mira Vance, grew up to be the most loved pop star on Earth. Now the U.S. Senate wants to decide if she counts as a person, and a healer in the Brazilian jungle, someone like her, is dying and asking for her by name.
I'm writing Born Here as an audio novel, and this is its first visual chapter. The full episode runs close to ten minutes; for this challenge I compressed it into about two, so it moves fast, but I hope the heart of it comes through: who gets to decide what's human, and the difference between being adored and being safe. The plan is to release a new one alongside every episode of the audio novel.
What surprised me most is how far Cantina let me expand Mira's world beyond the plot. She's a character I've lived with for years and who appears in many of my stories, and here she finally got a life of her own: a Cantina character you can chat with, her own vlog, a series with her rescue dog Maní, music videos, and a website where her world lives: Miras World
The idea is for Mira to keep growing, episode by episode, with the audience along for the ride.
This is Episode 1, "Two Hearts." Created by Andrés Mesa.

Stepping Through Art History to CapCut World LA 🎨✨ → 📍Audrey Irmas Pavilion
For the "Unexpected Arrival" theme, I wanted to blur the boundary between classic human artistry and next-gen AI filmmaking. Instead of a standard commute to Los Angeles, the journey pulls me directly through living, breathing masterpieces—from the swirling skies of Van Gogh’s The Starry Night and the crashing barrels of Hokusai’s The Great Wave, all the way to the iconic trapezoidal facade and barrel-vaulted ceiling of the Audrey Irmas Pavilion for CapCut World LA.
How I built it:
AI Generation & Continuity: Built as a connected 9-scene sequence using Seedance 2.5 inside CapCut, maintaining character consistency and fluid motion across completely distinct artistic styles and eras.
Editing & Polish in CapCut: Stitched and paced the transitions so each painting seamlessly morphs into the next dimension, combining keyframe camera momentum, color matching, and immersive sound design to make the final arrival in LA hit with maximum impact.
Why I built it:
Every era of art had its own medium—from oil on canvas and woodblock prints to digital timelines. AI and CapCut are the new canvas. I built this piece to celebrate how creative technology lets us step inside our wildest visual ideas and bring them to life in seconds.
Brilliant concept Pedro! 🎨 Stepping through Art History for an "Unexpected Arrival" is genius - blurring classic human artistry with next-gen AI filmmaking is such a powerful angle. Love the creative take on the journey to Audrey Irmas Pavilion instead of a standard commute. Can't wait to see the full piece!
Created a vibrant and educational social media content series for Grow Grow ABA, focused on ABA therapy, early intervention, communication skills, social skills training, daily living skills, and parent support.
The designs combine child-friendly visuals, playful illustrations, consistent green branding, and clear messaging to help families understand therapy services while building trust and brand awareness.
This project showcases my approach to social media management, content strategy, educational content creation, and brand consistency for child development and family-focused organizations.
