I built a 2000-year-old Tamil board game using Figma Make for the Config Makeathon 2026.

Growing up, every summer meant sitting beside my grandmother playing Pallanguzhi — a traditional Tamil strategy game. As an adult, I realized many people my age had stopped playing it. The boards were still there. The memories were still there. But somewhere along the way, we forgot to pick up the seeds.

So I rebuilt it.

When my dad played it — Muthu got collected and he stopped and started talking about his mother. How strategic she was. How she'd collect all the seeds and leave everyone with nothing.
