Everyone is talking about Claude Code.
Almost nobody is talking about why one person gets 10x better results than another using the exact same model.
A few weeks ago I watched two people use Claude Code.
One spent 3 hours fighting the AI.
The other shipped an entire project before lunch.
Same tool.
Different system.
The difference wasn't prompting.
The difference was context.
The second person never started from a blank chat.
Claude already knew the project.
Already knew the brand.
Already knew the rules.
Already knew what "good" looked like.
No repeating instructions.
No fixing the same mistakes.
No starting over.
That's when it clicked for me:
Most people are using AI like Google.
The people getting paid with AI are building operating systems around it.
They save context.
They create workflows.
They document rules.
They feed examples.
They let the machine learn from its mistakes.
The result?
Less time explaining.
More time shipping.
And that's where most people get AI wrong.
They keep searching for a better model.
GPT.
Claude.
Gemini.
Whatever comes next.
But the people quietly winning aren't changing models every week.
They're building systems that make any model perform better.
The model is the worker.
The system is the manager.
And in business, the manager usually decides the outcome.

Most people think Claude Code just writes code.
It doesn't. It builds systems and skills are how you make it build yours.
Here's what a Claude Code skill actually is:
A skill is a set of instructions Claude Code reads before it builds anything.
→ Instead of guessing how your tools work, it reads the exact rules you gave it then builds correctly the first time.
→ Think of it like onboarding a contractor. You don't want them guessing. You give them the manual.
It knows your stack, not just generic code.
→ Without a skill, Claude Code builds something that looks right but breaks in your environment.
→ With a skill, it knows your exact tools, your exact setup, and your exact rules before it writes a single line.
It saves you from fixing AI mistakes.
→ Vibe-coded builds break because the AI was guessing. Skills stop the guessing.
→ You get working output the first time not three rounds of debugging something that should have been right.
It scales your business without scaling your headcount.
→ You write the skill once. Every future build inherits it.
→ One set of rules. Infinite consistent builds.
Here's one I'd build right now:
Retell AI skill.
→ Every voice AI project runs through Retell agents, phone numbers, functions, post-call analysis, all of it.
→ A skill for it means Claude Code knows exactly how to configure agents, wire up webhooks, and connect the stack without guessing the setup every single time.
Build the skill once. Never explain your stack again.

I beg to differ on the whole "AI is coming for copywriters" thing.
I'm a copywriter, 8 years in, with zero background in video or cinematography.
And today, I made a cinematic concept video in under 15 minutes on Renoise, a tool I'd never opened before, using nothing but a prompt I wrote the way I'd write a scene.
No tutorials. No prior knowledge. Just writing.
And honestly, that's the point. Prompting is scripting. The more intentional and specific your language, the better the output.
Writing isn't what AI replaces, it's what makes AI actually work.
It's what makes you multidisciplinary without having to start from scratch in a new field every time.
The video shows my full process walkthrough, me yapping included. The output isn't perfect, but if this is what 15 minutes and zero videography knowledge looks like, I'm curious what another hour would do.
If you're a writer wondering where you fit in all of this, you're already holding the most important skill. You just have to point it somewhere new.
