Something I've noticed opening up other people's Elementor builds: most slow, messy Elementor sites aren't slow because of Elementor. They're slow because of how they were put together.
The usual suspects: – the same header rebuilt by hand on every page instead of once in Theme Builder – three or four addon packs installed, each for a single widget – content that should live in a custom field typed straight into the layout
Build templates once, keep addons to what you actually use, and put repeating content in ACF. The site gets lighter, and handing it over to the client gets a lot easier.
