The Founder’s Table: The Denise Okafor’s Story
"The Founder's Table" follows Denise Okafor, a self-made CEO whose grind nobody ever sees. As a girl, she knew she wanted to lead — she just didn't know what yet. Years later, working as a waitress while chasing a dream of running her own kitchen, she's let go when her restaurant's customer volume drops. Instead of chasing another job, Denise turns the loss into her turning point: she teaches herself business operations and analytics from scratch, then builds a virtual assistant agency that helps struggling restaurant owners fix what's broken and scale. The pilot traces her arc from that notebook-scribbled dream to the moment she's running two screens of live client data — now the boss she always imagined, just not in the way she expected.
Season one follows Denise building "The Founder's Table" one restaurant at a time — each episode centered on a different owner in crisis (a family diner about to close, a chef drowning in inventory chaos, a restaurant group facing a PR disaster), with Denise diagnosing the real problem and rebuilding it from the inside out. Inspired by the case-driven structure of Law & Order: SVU, each episode functions as its own contained "case" while an underlying arc builds across the season: Denise confronting her own history in the industry that once let her go, deciding whether to stay a solo operator or build an agency, and eventually facing a client whose business mirrors the very restaurant that fired her. The series is grounded in a true story, giving it the weight of something that actually happened rather than a fictional rags-to-riches arc.

Recently worked on a rental app concept focused on making the home-search experience simpler for tenants.
The idea was straightforward: find a home, explore the details, save the ones you like, and talk directly with the landlord all from one app.
For the tenant experience, I focused on:
• Clean home discovery and search
• Location-based property browsing
• Filters for rent, property type, bedrooms and amenities
• Detailed property pages with images and key information
• Save / shortlist functionality
• Direct chat with landlords
• Simple contact and viewing flow
I also designed the landlord side to make it easy to add properties, manage listings and respond to interested tenants.
The goal was to create a rental experience that feels simple, trustworthy and modern, without overwhelming users with too much information.
A strong rental product needs to make the journey from “I’m looking for a home” → “I found one” → “I want to talk to the landlord” as frictionless as possible.
