New case study: the landing page for REVAI, a concept AI sales platform.
The brief I gave myself was structural, not decorative: design a page where every section earns the next one. Hero makes one claim and gets out of the way. The value proposition comes before any feature gets named — because a feature nobody understands yet is just noise. Proof (testimonial, logos) sits right before the final ask, not scattered earlier where it does nothing.
Art direction followed the same logic — high contrast where the page needs to make a claim, quieter and more editorial where it needs to build trust. The layout isn't there to look good in isolation. It's there to move someone from "what is this" to "I trust this" in one scroll.
Your e-commerce store can rank on Google and still be invisible when customers ask AI for product recommendations.
This is one of the problems GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) is addressing.
Today, customers can ask AI tools questions like
“What are the best skincare brands for sensitive skin?”
“Which fitness stores sell quality home workout equipment?”
“What are good alternatives to [product]?”
If AI systems can't clearly understand your brand, products, expertise, and website content, your store may not be surfaced in those answers.
What can e-commerce businesses do?
1. Create clear product information.
Explain exactly what the product does, who it's for, its benefits, specifications, and use cases.
2. Answer customer questions through content.
Create useful content around the problems your products solve instead of only publishing promotional product pages.
3. Build topical authority
Cover your niche comprehensively so your website demonstrates genuine expertise.
4. Keep your business information consistent.
Your brand, products, company information, and important details should be clear and consistent across your website and relevant online platforms.
5. Don't abandon SEO.
GEO isn't a replacement for SEO. A technically sound, well-structured website with useful content gives both traditional search and AI systems better information to work with.
The bigger opportunity: e-commerce brands shouldn't only think about where they rank today. They should also think about how customers will discover them as search becomes increasingly AI-driven.
If your store isn't preparing for that shift, you're potentially leaving another discovery channel underdeveloped.
The dark-background rule is the one I'd want numbers on before committing to it. A big share of the audience is browsing in dark mode, where a dark thumbnail sits against a dark UI and loses its outer edge entirely, whereas the yellow one here keeps its shape in both themes. Do...
