Spent the last few days doing something a bit different, building a deck purely for fun.
The concept: AI, design, and what actually changes when the tools do.
Generated all the visuals in Midjourney, enhanced in Photoshop, laid out in Figma. Honestly had way too much fun with it.
But it got me thinking, I keep seeing posts about how AI is going to replace designers. Claude, Midjourney, all of it. And I get why people are nervous.
Here's my take though: AI can generate anything. It just doesn't know what's good. That judgement call, knowing when something works, when it doesn't, when to stop, that's still entirely human.
The job isn't disappearing. It's shifting. Less execution, more direction.
Would love to know what you think though, has AI changed the way you work day to day? Are you embracing it or does it feel like a threat? And be honest, no right answer here.
Deck is live on my portfolio, link in bio.
