I’ve been deep diving into retention mechanics lately and kept noticing the same thing:
Every app ends up rebuilding the same systems.
Streaks. Quests. XP. Achievements. Rewards. Currencies. Progression.
So I’m building "MetaGameKit" to use in future apps.
The idea is simple: build the retention layer once, then reuse it across everything I make.
The app just tells MetaGameKit what happened:
→ User completed a workout
→ Finished a lesson
→ Read for 20 minutes
→ Won a game
MetaGameKit handles what happens next:
→ Update the streak
→ Progress a quest
→ Award XP
→ Unlock an achievement
→ Give currency
→ Trigger a reward
→ Advance progression
I’m using a simple 2048 game as the testing ground right now.
