Back in 2020, during my internship with backstitch, an employee communications platform, they needed an introductory video—something short and punchy that they could show to potential clients.
The challenge: despite established branding, they had icons but no illustrations, and I had never worked in After Effects before.
I worked hard and learned a lot, developing friendly illustration style, that was diverse and inclusive to express the brand values. Over the course of developing the 2-minute video, I created over 40 illustrations, which could be turned into an asset library and reused.
This project is a testament to learning on the fly and how strong foundational skills can translate to new media.
