OK, LET'S GO!
My first creative contest I’ve ever entered...I will remember this one. I thought it would be fun to finally share something instead of only making things for clients and personal projects 🙂
I’ve been working as a motion designer for around 15 years, but I’ve been using Rive for only about 9 months. Still, it quickly became one of my favorite tools. I love using it both as a final destination and combined with Photoshop, After Effects, and Blender.
In this post, I’m officially submitting one character, but I decided to prepare a small presentation page that also shows three other characters. All four belong to a bigger project — a bingo-style game that I’ve been working on.
The character I am submitting is the SCARECROW 🔥 🔥 You can check the presentation here🔥 🔥 https://rivecontest.netlify.app/ To be clear, the UI visible on the page was created only for presentation purposes. The actual project doesn’t require UI, but I thought it would make the characters easier to explore.
One thing I really enjoyed during the process: nothing fought me. No weird blockers, no moments of “what daaaa...” 😄 Everything went surprisingly smoothly, and I had a lot of fun building and polishing it.
Thanks for putting this contest together — for my first one, it’s been a really nice experience 💙
