Customer Records Cleaning | Accurate Data Entry & Spreadsheet Management
Would you trust a customer database containing duplicate records, missing contact details and inconsistent information?
Even small data entry errors can create problems for businesses, from contacting the wrong customer to maintaining inaccurate records.
For this portfolio demonstration, I worked with a sample customer database containing duplicate entries, missing information and inconsistent formatting.
The problems identified:
🔴 Duplicate customer records
🔴 Missing or incomplete email addresses
🔴 Inconsistent contact date formats
🔴 Incorrectly formatted phone numbers
🔴 Customer names requiring correction or clarification
My approach to solving these problems:
✅ Reviewed customer records for potential errors
✅ Identified duplicate entries and documented discrepancies
✅ Used a simulated client review process to confirm changes before applying them
✅ Standardised dates, names and contact information
✅ Organised the spreadsheet into a clean, professional format
What makes my approach different?
I believe accurate data entry requires more than simply copying information.
When I identify a potential mistake, I don't automatically delete or replace the information. I document the issue and request confirmation before making changes.
This helps protect data integrity and reduces the risk of losing important customer information.
Services I offer:
• Data Entry & Spreadsheet Organisation
• Customer Database Management
• Duplicate Identification & Review
• Data Formatting & Standardisation
• Google Sheets Data Management
I'm currently building my freelance portfolio and welcoming opportunities to help businesses maintain accurate, organised and reliable records.

Challenge
A director approached me wanting full visibility of personal transactions made through the company’s bank account. Personal and business spending had been mixed, making it hard to see what belonged to whom. He needed to know exactly where his money went, without it distorting the company’s financial position.
Solution
I reviewed the full bank statements and identified every personal transaction. Each one was categorised and recorded against the director’s personal account, keeping it separate from the company’s balance. Company transactions were left untouched, so the business accounts stayed accurate. I then prepared a clear, transaction-by-transaction report showing dates, amounts, payees and the running balance.
Result
The director received an in-depth view of every personal spend, with a clean separation from company funds. This gave him clarity over his own balance, supported accurate company books, and made future reporting and tax compliance simpler. It also gave him a clear record to refer back to whenever questions arise.
Services: Bookkeeping, Management Reports
very organzied way to record all transactions.
