#EnvatoChallenge This one went right down to the wire. I hope everyone managed to get their entries in. I literally uploaded mine with 10 seconds left on the countdown.
Here’s the final project: Plantful - Make Room for More Life.
For this challenge, I began with a billboard exploration that eventually became a complete creative rebuild. The campaign started with a simple challenge: encouraging people to make more room for plants in their daily lives. The turning point came from a human insight: the environment itself could become part of the design and elevate the entire idea. By using the real trees behind the billboard to complete the broccoli silhouette, the concept transformed from a static visual into something shaped by its surroundings. It addressed the original pain point while physically embodying the message “Make Room for More Life,” making the idea more meaningful and memorable. Taking it there meant starting again, so I did, using Envato’s AI tools and VideoGen to rebuild the artwork and bring that insight to life.
This challenge felt especially meaningful to me because it celebrated something that often goes unseen: human ingenuity. So much thought, effort, experimentation and problem-solving goes into creative work, but those stories are rarely told. Most of the attention goes to the finished product. In this challenge, the process was the product - and that is what made it so special to me. I loved every part of it.
It was iterative, challenging and occasionally chaotic. I started producing the entry film at 9:30 a.m., and what followed was an almost three-hour sprint through Envato VoiceGen, After Effects compositing, animation and Premiere editing. I worked through hours of screen recordings, re-recorded several that had frozen, and rendered the film twice during the final few minutes. Huge credit to the Contra servers and submission experience for holding up when it mattered.
The past few days were a blur of exploration, rebuilding, testing and refinement, with the final morning becoming a race against the clock. It was all completely worth it.
Best of luck to everyone who entered. I’m genuinely excited to see all your entries.
