Prompt engineering isn't the job. The pipeline is.
Anyone can spend an afternoon tweaking a prompt until it sounds good on one example. That's not what makes an AI feature production-ready.
What actually matters:
Retrieval that pulls the right context, not just some context (LangChain)
A model that reasons over that context instead of guessing (Claude)
Automation that keeps data fresh and catches failures before a user does (n8n)
Code that ties all of it together and fails predictably when something breaks (Python)
The prompt is maybe 5% of the system. The other 95% is what keeps it working on day 200, not just in the demo.
If you've got a prompt that works great in testing and falls apart in production, that gap is usually the pipeline — not the prompt.
