Six days out. If your Shopify store isn't on the Plus plan, August 26 is the date every custom script on your Thank You and Order Status pages stops firing, whether you knew about it or not.
This has been coming since checkout extensibility launched. Plus stores hit their deadline back in 2025, and non-Plus stores got until now. What actually happens on the 26th is that Shopify auto-upgrades every remaining store to the new checkout framework, and anything living in the old Additional Scripts field or checkout.liquid (a manually added Facebook pixel, a loyalty app's tracking snippet, a custom conversion event) goes silent with no error and no warning anywhere in your admin.
Three things worth five minutes before Monday. Open Settings, then Customer accounts, and check whether your Thank You or Order Status page still shows the old Additional Scripts field, because if it does you have not migrated yet. List the apps that ever asked you to paste a script into checkout, since most have already shipped a Shopify Function or Pixel replacement but not all of them, and it is on the merchant to check each one. And if you or a past developer hand-wrote anything into checkout.liquid, that code needs to move into a Checkout UI Extension before the cutover, not after.
None of this needs a rebuild. It needs an afternoon and the right migration path for whatever is actually sitting in there.
